I love the quotables.

This one especially interests me cuz it's amazing how many Blk men blame the demise of the Blk family on women's lib. It's nonsensical to me because even nowadays, Blk women aren't all that visible in feminism so you can just imagine our visibility back then. Any feeling of empowerment emasculates some men.

we all need to use our power to fuel our positive passions-for the work of our hands!
another great women--we are so blessed to have been given all these great people to speak for the rights of All- and to speak against intolerance on every level !

I love it! I'm often annoyed that the feminist movement and their interests often exclude women of color while civil rights interests seem to exclude black women as well.

Often, it feels like I have to choose between "black interests" and "feminist interests." I'm a black woman. I won't turn one off for the interest of the other.

Thank you ladies! Please feel free to send your favorite sista to quote to my blog e-mail. This will be a regular everyday posting, so I will need plenty of quotes. I am also trying not to repeat people, so please keep track of who has already been quoted.
