The Monsters Really Are On Maple Street

I wonder why so many Americans are so fearful of overseas terrorists, considering the increasing number of home-grown monsters we have right here. These very scary folks have been accused of torturing and murdering Dorothy Dixon, a 29 year old woman who was mentally challenged and six months pregnant. Adding insult to injury, Dixon's 1 year old son was found at the scene of the crime weighing only 15 pounds. This case is just sickening. How could human beings do these kinds of things to one another?

And what kind of man is sleeping with a mentally challenged woman and abandoning their child? How did Dorothy Dixon fall through the cracks of the system so easily? Why didn't her family or anyone inquire about her or her child's well-being? Have we become so callous and cold to one another? These are questions that will never get answered to my satisfaction, I just can't even stand the fact that they have to asked at all.
