Why Women's Professional Sports Will Always Sucks Ass!

I really hate the backwards ass thinking of the idiots that market and promote women's professional sports, particularly the WNBA. They always get it so wrong! For example, the L.A. Sparks jersey of the number one pick in the 2008 draft Candace Parker, has already sold out in sizes x-large and xx-large. Are the marketing geniuses of the WNBA taking pre-orders on her jesery to be sold at a later date? Of course not! What a missed opportunity!!!!!

When Allen Iverson was traded to the Denver Nuggets and when Kobe Bryant changed his number from 8 to 24, the NBA store took pre-orders for their jerseys months in advance. Pre-orders on jerseys that were not even for sale yet! And the WNBA is missing opportunities to continue selling a sold out jersey? How brainless is that? Women will never make strides in professional sports if they don't start taking advantage of valuable opportunites.

hummm very good points prof.

i guess we need some women to run the manufacturing parts and the marketing places in the basketball org.

and if some women are already within this fields..maybe they are not 'up high' enough to have their voice count.

and yes, it is jackedup!

women are highered these postions, however, that is not why they do not have enough jersey's. (1) As noted womens sports is not as HOT as the men's and their marketing is fickle. FOR every sure thing - there is a TON of DEAD inventroy some where. (2) XL'a and larger cost more money to buy wholesale. XXl's or larger involve an entirly new cut pattern ( more development costs). You can make more profit by selling small size jerseys and not expend extra capital.

Prime example when ANY womens shoe store gets in a shipment of 24shoes there is (1)5.5, (1) 6.0 (1) 6.5 (3) 7.0 (3) 7.5 (4)8.0 (4) 8.5 (2)9.0 (2) 9.5 (1) 10 (1) 11 (1) 12

This is a standard industry ratio and median sizes get the MOST product. This order model is set up to give turn over style inventory - and make a profit - not to serve the masses...... Should the model be re-written yes, but as all industries change is slow.

Do not worry, there will be PLENTY OF CP jerseys - and in larges sizes soon
