Words For Warfare

"I tell my daughter to get an education, get a job and never ever expect a man to take care of you. Because the days of women contracting for a life of leisure are over. Or they should be." - Jami Floyd

I agree with the first part of her statement, and disagree completely with the second.

Nowhere on this planet have black women EVER been able to 'contract for a life of leisure'. And for the 99% of middle and lower class white women, that 'life of leisure' was a pseudonym for working their butts off in the home and never getting paid or even thanked.

Therefore, all women should get an education, get a job, never expect a man to take care of you, and buy a gun.

Education is very important, why shouldn't be get a good man to take care of us. We are constantly taking care of men. Why does black women's life have to be such are hard. Instead of getting a job, start your own business with something you love and you will have better rewards!

EXACTLY!

I was wondering who are these "women" that she's referring to.

Ladies,

There are plenty of women who are living a life of leisure without working and dependent on their husbands for everything. Let's not act like they don't exist.

What job has any of Donald Trump's wives had? How about Tiger Woods' wife? What job has Laura Bush had or Cindy McCain? There are plenty of wealthy men with wives that do absolutely nothing.

And in fairness to Ms. Floyd, her remarks were not directed at black women, but at the future ex-wife the now "gay" former Govenor of N.J. She thought the woman should go out and get a job instead of being in court fighting that husband over nothing.

Uh Cindy McCain runs a mult-million dollar corporation. She's the money in that family NOT McCain. She's the largest stock holder in the family business and really manges the company that was left to her.

Say what u want about the woman but she handles her business.

Prof Tracey: And in fairness to Ms. Floyd, her remarks were not directed at black women, but at the future ex-wife the now "gay" former Govenor of N.J.

Being that this is only an excerpt, one can not tell that her comments were in reference to a white woman. All we see is a photograph of a black woman and her comments, which would naturally make a black female reader raise an eyebrow.

Thanks for adding that info to more give more insight into her comments.
