America Not So Beautiful - Our Lost Humanity!

America is in serious trouble. We are becoming a very callous people. Folks walked by this man lying in the street after he had been struck by a car. The driver did not stop. No assistance, no nothing. We need to mind our business about other countries. Our own house is in major disorder!

Wow. I just saw the video. It took several minutes before anyone came to his aid. Incredible.

Hello there,

This is so very sad...I can't even believe it...

I will not forget that when I was an undergrad, a black student was lynched and hung from a tree...this was in the 80s!!! No one saw a thing...happened right outside of an apartment complex full of white kids in the afternoon...no witnesses EVER came forward....

Now a man is hit and no one runs to help??? Please don't tell me that the man was black...

Very sad. I can't believe how heartless ppl are nowadays. I'd want someone to help me so I couldn't imagine not doing the same for another person.

It's hard to find comfort in "looking for the helpers" (Mr Rogers) when there seem to be no helpers around.

We need to be braver about being with people who are in pain; this is how we can *be* community (which includes ourselves).

my Lord, my Lord,
lisa i believe he is hispanic. his son is asking for help in catching the persone that did it.

that is a good quote from mr rogers.

to stand there and LOOK at him is terrible....i've seen people stop traffice to get a hurt animal off the road --you would think that a hurt person would bring out the good in someone...
out of all the people standing looking at him--NO ONE had a good heart...??!!
so sad...for those that did not help him...they will be called to answer for that!

Lord Help Us here!

I saw this on the news. I was expecting someone to come to the man's aid. If it had been a dog somebody would have move quicker.
