U.S. Rep. William "Ice Cold Cash" Jefferson Should Be Resigning, Not Running For Re-Election!
Mr. Jefferson and his crime ring family need to go. I had it with him when he commandeered a helicopter during Hurricane Katrina to get personal items from his home when people were suffering and dying. He and several members of his immediate family face federal charges in the next year. I believe in innocent until proven guilty, but his ethics are in serious question. He needs to step down immediately. If he manages to clear his name, he can re-run then. He cannot effectively or efficiently represent his constituents while facing these charges.

I was saying this a year ago... he should have resigned back then.
It's a lack of leadership by Nancy Pelosi.
I guess they are going to wait until all of the court battles are over & the Democratic brand is destroyed in Louisiana, with the scandal being played day after day. Luckily, the Democratic momentum nationwide should be so strong this year that Jeffersons case shouldn't have much of an impact. But it's still a distraction and provides ammo for Conservatives. It makes it easy for them to claim a double standard- and they may actually have a point.
