Will Mama Kilpatrick Pay The Price For The Misdeeds Of Her Hip Hop Mayor Son?

Represenative Caroyln Cheeks Kilpatrick, the mother of Detroit mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick finds herself in a tight race to keep her seat. Her son's bone-headed antics are playing a minor role in her re-election. Will mama pay for defending the stupidity of her son?

Yes and she should. We have to stop condoning sophomoric behavior wrong is wrong no matter who the perpetrator.

She is one tough lady. She probably told her daughter-in-law to suck it up and deal with it. Who knows what she's told her son since she keeps defending him.

She's straight gutter too. Don't get it twisted! Its time for her to leave as well.

The people in her district are stupid enough to vote her back into office, but they REALLY don't have ANY viable alternatives.

When you're choices are limited to Chitlin' Eatin' Negroes, you're forced to vote for the less Chitlin' Eatin' of the Chitlin' Eatin.

You're gonna get screwed either way, so why not go with a proven fuck-up?

LOL @ blkseagoat.

I just heard that she won again. Man now I gotta hear my momma and 'nem complain about it. I just wish my folks could just pick up and move out.

Selena,

I have some family members there too who are too nostalgic and dangerously hopeful that things are gonna turn around soon.

FOOLISHNESS! Detroit is one of several banal and barren places where blacks have been left behind AFTER enjoying economic success and prosperity.

I realize that the concept of home and always having a place to call your origin is important to the human psyche, but I could not be committed to a place where the writing is soooooo on the wall.
