Other Than Her Family Name - What In The Hell Makes Caroline Kennedy Qualified To Replace Hillary Clinton As Senator In NY?
I got nothing against Caroline Kennedy, but I'd sure like to know what exactly makes her qualified to become a senator. And I would love to know what her platform as senator would be. I'm intrigued at the possibility, especially if she's going to make education a centerpiece.

Yeah I agree. It starts to feel like a bunch of wealthy, privileged people who have things by accident of birth getting all the perks and best positions for everything. I know she'll get something for her Obama support but why a Senatorship? She's never held public office before. You usually have to work your way up and gain experience. She might be a very nice person but this just stinks.
Obama had no experience either, but he's now president and I couldn't be happier.
I think Caroline would be a great choice, but I think Cuomo's gonna get the nod. Paterson makes this decision... not Obama.
You don't necessarily have to hold public office. Many times a good platform and who you know helps in NY. I think we may found out though, that's she done many things that weren't necessary in the public eye. Hey, is she's do more than Hilary "I didn't do squat or give a damn about the rest of NY except the City", we'll take her.
I'm hoping she is pairing with her uncle to push through some decent reform of healthcare and education and if she can make that work- hooray! better rich people with good values than rich people with bad or no values
Obama had plenty of experience. Kennedy does have add value but again I'll say she had a huge leg up with money and connections in which to thrive. And she's a white woman. She's had certain privileges. I'm originally from NY. I know Hillary did nothing but secure her ducks for her Presidential run. Kennedy would be better for sure. What about Byron Brown?
