What if you had to pay an additional tax on your liquor like folks who smoke pay a tax on their cigarettes? A very interesting idea. And yes, this is an advertisement for the limited edition "44" Hennessy in celebration of President Obama's election. I know...I know...

I like the idea. While they are at it, they should tax junk food so maybe I won't be so quick to buy those cool ranch doritos :) As for the Hennessy ad, I have no words. That reminds me of the Hennessy room screen divider a friend gave that said "Hennessy celebrating black history month" Sad.
It won't stop me or those that I know from drinking. I'm a good tipper as well. Prices will be rounded up to the nearest nickle I think.
And as to Hennessy why shouldn't they cash in on the Obama phenomenon.
Our 'people' will buy it.

Hey,in NYS that's just on more thing to get taxed on. Paterson already wants a tax on soda/pop, but not diet soda/pop (the infamous obesity tax) and going to the beauty salon (luxury tax), might as well add more to the list.
oh yeah tax the _ell out of drinkers i say! LOLO
they are taxing our butts off that smoke!
but it aint gonna stop me from smoking.
And i have never had a wreck or killed anyone because i was driving and smoking a cigarette!
