i was deeply saddened by this news yesterday. one of the greatest ever to coach the game. i got on youtube and watched her win the jimmy v espy award last night. i teared up...she will definitely be missed. every team should dedicate their season to her legacy, courage, and strength.
My cousin played for her and we went to a few banquets and functions where she was in attendance. You are right she was always a class act, and I was truly saddened to see her pass. God Bless you Kay Yow and Godspeed.
THANKS PT for posting this!!
even though i am not a NC State fan-we have always supported Kay Yow! she accomplished so much in her lifetime.
Her coaching record Stands strong!
she will be missed in these parts of NC!

This news really broke my heart. I grew up in NC and was a die hard wolfpack fan. RIP Coach Kay and Coach V.
Thanks for posting this one, PT. I've been watching women's ball all weekend and have been impressed by the tributes to YOW I've witnessed. I've only been a fan of the game for the past 3 years. Yow has been an inspiration from the beginning, and the courage and faith she exhibited in her battle against cancer was inspirational.
