Would You Pay $35 Bucks For A Movie?

I know the price sounds steep, but consider that this theater would have reclining armchair seats with footrests, digital projection and the best sound quality available, as well as a lounge and bar serving cocktails and appetizers, a concierge service and valet parking. There would also be room for only 40 folks in the entire theater. The food and drink would set you back a bit also, but for a once in a blue moon event with the main squeeze or a night out with your best buddies, it might be a fun thing to do.

LOL-like going to a movie spa!
lolo
for the right movie, i could do it.
for special reasons.
a birthday gift for my beloved, or anniversary gift--something like that. to treat a very good friend or family member that would appreciated it--yes i can see spending the money. but not everyone is capable of appreciating a gift like this.

but just to adopt this way of going to the movies at all times--nope!
too much money--rather wait till i can see it at home.
i can get all the goodies to eat and take them home-lol where i can hit 'pause' and run to the bathroom! lolo

Now when you add all that stuff in on top of the fact it's probably the best horror movie of the year I think I could do it.

You almost had me hooked when you mentioned that there would only be room for about 40 people. My biggest gripe about the movies these days are the other patrons - the obnoxious moviegoers with cell phones on who were never taught what it means to "use your inside voice." Then again, at that price, maybe it would keep the teens (and my Mama's cousins) away....!

I'd never. It hurts my feelings to pay $9. Total waste.

For $20 I might consider. Sounds interesting either way. Now I was going to ask how many... unrefined chatter boxes might be in the theater. But with that price, I don't think that might be much of an issue.

Well the IMAX is $15 so if it's a really good movie and the seats are clean I might do it once or twice. I'd love to have real food also and a cocktail too.

@claudia
i'm with you on those people!
its like they feel entitled to talk on their phones no matter where they are or who it disturbs.
Also, i have an issue with 'parents' that bring their toddlers and let them run around the theatre! ??
i have on more than one occasion loudly told some child "don't you think you need to go and find your mamma?"
that gets their attention quickly as some want to TRY and get defensive--i don't argue with people like this--i go get the movie workers and let them do their jobs!
and even some of the 40 could be rude and full of themselves also.
money doesn't mean you have manners and respect for others. it means you have money.

If you got money to burn, build a home theatre!
