Legal Dispute Holding Up Release Of Film Adaptation of Sapphire's PUSH

Hollywood has to be dragged kicking and screaming to make films about black folks, but when they finally get them made, they barely promote them, but let a black film get a little buzz and they go crazy trying to get the largest piece of the pie. God knows when folks will get to see Push.

I really want to see this. Thanks for giving me the heads up on it. I hadn't heard of it before your post on it.

I had no idea, like Missy said thanks for the heads up. I fell in love with the book and was happy that they were going to do a movie about it. It's a shame this film won't be seen anytime soon.

I was just thinking about reading PUSH again. I was not aware that it had been made into a movie. Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it won't be forever before it is released.

Happy to learn that Push was made into a film. I'll be even happier to see it.

Thanks for sharing this! I didn't know that they'd made it into a film either.

I sincerely hope that they manage to convey the integrity of the book into the film. Too often the true heart of a book is lost in its on screen translation.

I was turned on to the book by a good friend & she has YET to disappoint :)

Madd love to you JAX!!
