Lord We Miss Ed Bradley - Black Journalists At The White House - Whining Already

This is the kind of stuff where black folks get on my nerves. Multiple black media outlets waited until we got a black president before they got off their asses and sent reporters to cover the White House. Now, these same late freight folks are whining about not being called upon to ask a question by President Obama. Yeah, black folks, you got played and you were window dressing. So what! If they had put all the black reporters in the back (where you actually belonged) they would have been whining about that too. You have to pay your dues to get called on at the White house folks. I wish Ed Bradley was still around.

Black Journalist never seemed to take Bush to task. And I wonder if they will even do it to Obama.

TOTALLY cosigning you Prof. Tracey, I was sooooo disappointed to hear the Black press whining about this nonissue. It's not enough that the President himself is a Black man who is highly intelligent and capable to lead. Oh nooooooooo, he has to cater to the Black press and Michelle has to only use Black designers. Crabs in a barrel, Lord have mercy....

Acts of Faith,

You are sho right about the one pitiful reporter asking about A-Rod. Who G.A.F. about him at a meeting about the economy?

Journalism, not just black journalist leave a lot to be desired...

gguurrll i was thinking about ed the other day.
i also miss him greatly! he had a flair, a truth about him that just is not in many others.
integrity would be what he had.

on the other point--black reporters....and where have they been?
most just jump on the most popular bandwagon along with the other reporters.

see, the word 'reporter' does not include common sense--as common sense ain't common.
nor does the word imply any thing other than reporting what news is happening.
no morals no ethics-just standing on the corner shouting the news.

the standard needs to be raised to a higher level.
so many are after fame and temporary wealth. they want to be worshipped and important.
sad.

@Acts of Faith -

LOL, Girl! I was like WTH? No mo' press conferences for you. I mean is that the question you really want to ask?

Ummm...did I watch the same press conference...? I'm not sure I understand this statement...

While most on the front row got to pose a question to President Obama, the two reporters from the black press did not. Nor did any other black-press reporter, for that matter.

Didn't he call on two black reporters? One who totally embarrassed me with that waste of air question about A. Rod? Give me a break, and they wonder why. We're our own worst enemy sometimes.
