Happy Halloween Folks! Sorry for the MIA status on blogging. I am BUSY running from the swine flu and grading papers. I'm also working on my second year review....yes, the crazy ass march toward tenure!

Plus, I have big plans popping for the upcoming holidays, so my mind has been elsewhere. I will be posting quite a few things this evening, so please forget me if I comment on something old as well as something new and maybe a few somethings borrowed!

One of things that always strikes me with debates and discussions about black women is that folks never want to talk about real stuff that hurts us; poverty, disease, lack of equitable marriage partners, being underpaid and overworked in the workplace, domestic violence, abuse, rape, etc.....

Yet, talking about black women's hair dominates the airwaves, then you can hear a rat pissing on cotton when it's a white woman doing the EXACT same thing that black women are universally condemned for. Isn't interesting how quietly all kinds of folks accept RHOA Kim Zolciak's fake ass hair and fucking a married black man? Funny that.

$12,000 month on stinking ass wigs? Bitch please!

Newsweek's Allison Samuels Is Clearly Out Of Ideas And Should Worry About Her Own Black Hair Instead Of The Hairstyle Of A Defenseless Four-Year Old

This bullshitting article by Allison Samuels is the perverbal straw that broke the camel's back for me. I have had about a damn 'nough on this here subject.

I'm sorry, but I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of the issue of black women and girls and their damn hair. It's time for everyone to start minding their own FUCKING business about black hair. I am completely soured on the subject. I am sick of the politics of black hair, the in-fighting over black hair, the judgements about black hair, and I am DAMN sick and tired of black women and girls being made to feel bad about their hair.

If a some point and time you have had HAIR COLORED MAGENTA, BLONDE, BLUE, GREEN, OR PINK, cool with me. If you enjoy wearing BRAIDS SO LONG THAT THEY DRAG ON THE FLOOR WITH 8 MILLION MUTLI-COLORED BEADS, cool with me. If have a MOHAWK OR A FAUX-HAWK OR WHAT EVER IN HELL THEY CALL IT HAWK, cool with me. And if you are like me with so-called "GOOD HAIR" YOU HAVE NO DESIRE TO COMB OR STYLE ON A REGULAR BASIS, you are double-dip pistachio nut ice cream cool with me.

I am a sick and tired of folks talking about black hair like it's the ONE great problem in our black society. Get a clue people, IT ISN'T!!! A whole lot of black women with straight and nappy hair, "acceptable" and completely jacked up hairstyles, have voted in a black man as President, ran households and business, and yes, managed to think and chew gum at the same time! We need to stop buying into this tired and circular firing squad discussion any longer and I mean IMMEDIATELY.

Rush Limbaugh is an unrepentant race-baiting racist and a caveman era sexist. He should not be given the opportunity to own a professional sports team. He will not be able to serve as a silent partner, he will eventually say something so outlandish that the NFL will have to head for the hills to escape the embarrassment.

NFL sports teams are heavily stocked with minority players and supported by minority fans and women. Rush Limbaugh has made his feeling clear on both groups. The St. Louis Rams used to be a winning and successful franchise, Rush Limbaugh as an owner is not going to help return them to that top position.
