No Matter What Tiger Woods Says Or Does Tomorrow - His Image Will NEVER Be What It Was Before Bimbogate

It really doesn't matter how many times Tiger Woods says "I apologize" or how contrite he may appear at his tightly scripted and showcased public statement tomorrow. He will always be a shadow of his former public self.

He has lost many fans forever. He has earned the scorn and ridicule of his golfing peers. He has been the butt of jokes and on the front page of nearly every single gossip rag. He has lost millions of dollars and might have lost his wife. Despite all of that, I don't think Tiger Woods understands that he has lost his clearly cultivated public image forever.

No matter how many tournaments he wins or endorsements he's granted or how much more money he earns, there will be an article, interview, or blog that will mention his latest achievement in tandem with a prominent, but off-hand mention of his monstrous sex scandal.

From now on, if Tiger Woods is seen with a woman that is not his wife, it will be reported and questioned. He will never have the privacy he has so desperately craved during his career. And it will be many years before any believes anything he says without a raised eyebrow of doubt.

Tiger Woods is officially the Hester Prynne of professional athletics and he has no one to blame for his status but Tiger Woods. And that's how it should be.

They can't take away prize money. Perhaps he can exhale and be a young man. Never was he allowed or allowed himself to be as the young Asian and white new golfers, flamboyant or exuberant. He even hung around older athletes.

Will he care about his image when he lives his childhood dream and breaks Jack Nicklaus' records.

I feel sorry for Tiger, I feel sorry that has affected some many lives with his fratboy acting self. I know that his PR team is telling him that he has to make a statement at some point in time, but gimme a break. He needs to let folks ask their questions and get it over with. The news keeps saying that Elin won't be there and I don't blame her. I wouldn't stare there with a stupid smile on my face either. If you want to stay with your husband after adultery, kudos to you, but if you had to stand in front of everyone your knew and had to hear him confess to it, I doublt if that many women would we willing to stand there holding his hand. I don't think I could do it. I may attack him and end up being a headline story myself.

Tiger needs to bury his head underground. Incognegro is an awesome book

I think time will tell, honestly. Americans tend to have a short memory. People may not forget exactly but I think in a few years, if he stays at the top of his golfing game, they'll stop caring.

I never got the impression that the golf world actually liked him in the first place. Lesser players were kinda open about it. Only the top players acted as if they were members of the get-along gang. He'll be ok. I hope he remains just as elusive, robotic and cold as ever. That's why they're really mad. They couldn't care less about him doing the bottom of the barrel women. The apologies need to end. He may not get the new toothpaste ads, but there are long standing records to be broken. Go for it, dude.
