The Five Mistakes Hillary Made And The Sixth Mistake That Time Magazine Was Too Chicken-Hearted To Admit....

You can't really argue with these five issues that Time Magazine raises about Hillary Clinton's continuing and failing bid for the White House, but I not going to let them get away without mentioning the sixth major mistake she made during her campaign, seriously misjudging the influence and important of race and gender together. Hillary ran her campaign as if all women were white and that all black people were one gigantic brick of chewing tobacco tucked away in the back pocket of her husband, Bill "You Ain't Black" Clinton.

Like a typical white Democrat, she "counted" on the mindless loyalty of black folks and got a big ass surprise. Black folks are heavily interested in change as well as anyone else. Hillary could have strongly appealed to black women, but she really didn't make effort. Black women have worked hard and have sacrificed even more for the black community, wouldn't it have made sense to for Hillary to acknowledge that she understood that and respected it?

Gloria Steinem's article was a bad dream, Geraldine Ferraro's comments were a nightmare and Hillary misplayed every single incident. Even if she didn't believe their comments were racist or elitist, their commentary was most definitely exclusionary in terms of vision and scope. To remark or imply that Barack Obama would not be where he was if he was a black woman, is not a very strong point, its a negative reflection upon the very same white women that are pointing it out. What aren't black women in a better position in terms of political power considering our standing in the black community and our strong role in the women's movement?

Quite frankly, I don't really believe that black women are voting for Barack Obama 100%, but are instead voting for what Michelle Obama represents standing there next to Barack. Michelle Obama represents the closest thing black women in this country are ever going to get to a black woman in the White House.

Hillary spoke at a black college several months ago and got the longest applause for saying if HIV and AIDS were hitting white women the way it's hitting black women, there would be real alarm and action out of Washington. I guess those were the days when The Clintons and African-Americans were still friends!

Ignoring black women this year has been costly for The Clintons.

Well said. Thank you professor Tracy! The crazy thing is, there are some on the right who "get it" more than Hill does. They're the ones calling for Condi to run.

The seventh mistake was failing to realize that the majority of black voters ARE WOMEN. WE decide what 'the black vote' is.

Second, we are hopelessly, helplessly, mindlessly, needlessly loyal to black men, and any comments that are racist, even if it is against a man hasn't done jack for us is going to land you into backlash hell do not pass go do not collect $200.
